Unless I’ve missed something, this should stop the input going back to the output and so stopping the feedback loop and also letting you monitor the returns from the POD so you can set tone controls etc as you want. Set the recording channel’s output as DAW (Firewire Channels 3-4) as per the manual. Haven’t done this before, but I would presume you could set up the chain as follows:ĭI’d Guitar Track Output 1 Radial Re-amper/POD In Everything else to me sounds either like a wasp in a Coke tin or a pneumatic drill used underwater, no matter how much I fiddle with them!Īctually, looking at the manual for your interface, you can set up a separate mix to go to the headphones than what goes to the main outs. not even subsequent PODs or the trial of Line 6 Helix Native. I have Guitar Rig and Amplitube, but no Audio Units or Logic 'in the box' processing have ever managed to recapture that POD 2.0 sound. I could have physically split the signal at the time of recording, to record a dry and dirty sound on separate mono channels, but it seemed a bit of a faff when reamping was an option. This time I wanted to record the guitar clean and then reamp it, so I have the choice of trying other options. The reason I'm reamping is because I record with a Gibson Explorer and by far the best sound I've ever got with it when DI recording is via the Brit HiGain preset on a POD 2.0. I know someone who has a Focusrite Scarlett 8 output interface, so I will try with that in the week and see how I get on. I (thought I) was using output 1 and recording on input 2, which I thought would be OK, but I could't get rid of the squeal. I was monitoring on the tc desktop connect 6's headphone output. ![]()
